in that first example, the plane(2D) was depicted as being on the surface of a cone(3D) that was stretched into a cylinder. (the insider would be a 2D being and the outsider would be a 3D being, right? im not too sure, with the way they visually presented it and all.) does this mean that in the other example, our cube [?](3D) was on the "surface" of a 4D object that was "stretched" in some way? i also remember a video similar to this talking about how a 2D universe could just be a 3D object when viewed from the outside, and how when viewed "from the inside" it would be like a finite plane that visually loops infinitely, where traveling all the way to one edge of said plane spawns you on the opposite edge of it(think pacman), much like what is depicted in this video. then they extended that example to 3D spaces that are 4D objects, which function similarly. the video than stated that our universe might be one of these, meaning it may seem infinite, but it is just a finite universe set across the "surface" of a 4D object, and that fact is not very obvious simply due to its large size.

I've been in love with this retro little topology video ever since it first hit UA-cam. It's to the point where it's comforting and I could fall asleep to it. The visuals of the sphere everting are so hypnotizing too. I never get tired of that!

We probably look like idiots running in circles to an entity in the 4th dimension

so, it's just going round and round, and when distance is short , you see your own back and think it's another person. in a finite space, you be going round and round thinking it's infinte lol. like a ant going in circle, endless loop. lol. the idea is cool. hope we do find some pattern that will help us determine the shape of universe. but may i ask, what will happen by knowing the shape of universe.

By this videos logic you can only flip the given shape outside in if you are moving the shape: without sharp curves, or creases, and the point at 2:43 where two parts of the circle which has its topology come together to tightly which is disqualified for its sharp bend, then at 1:47 there are multiple "sharp bends", and that case is also false? Am I looking at this the wrong way?
